Although I wasn’t ever great at the baking and pastry world, I did appreciate the art.  My task at hand… to create a 3-4 minute video showing the world how great this attraction is.  While discussing this upcoming project with a few friends, I found out that people literally drive for miles from towns and cities all around the region JUST to get their Blackbird Bakery fix!  They’ll sometimes make a day trip out of it!  I think that is amazing in itself.  They make everything from scratch, the organic coffee beans are delivered frequently and roasted the day before delivery, locally made ice cream which is crafted from hormone & antibiotic free milk right from Virginia. The entire staff is very pleasant, skilled and passionate about their jobs.  From fresh doughnuts, tiramisu, creme brulee, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, tarts, pies, coffee, espresso, ice cream and more… Blackbird has something for everyone!
